Olek Salmanowicz – Programme Leader
Olek grew up in Poland where he was exposed to the magic of his grandparent’s garden – helping them to grow fruit and veg in a traditional, sustainable way. He’s lived in England for 10 years, gaining an extensive experience in cheffing and supporting people with learning disabilities and autism in different settings. Olek’s passion is psychology and holistic ways of living.
At FarmAbility he works with horses, cooks, and runs egg room sessions, birdwatching, gardening among many others. He is passionate about expanding co-farmer’s independence through providing them with work experience opportunities in professional kitchens.
Olek believes in the therapeutic potential of meaningful occupation and through running his sessions he aims to re-establish cofarmers’ connections with nature, work, the wider community and themselves.
